SEA BABY 2 is a 40 ft. Queensland built game fishing vessel that has fished the entire Queensland coastline, predominantly residing in Cairns - home to the giant black marlin. Over the years, SEA BABY 2 has earned a reputation as the one of the most successful game fishing vessels available for charter anywhere in Australia.

SEA BABY 2 is in Queensland 2C survey for both day and night charter. Powered by twin Cummins V8 diesel engines, cruise speed is a comfortable 17 knots. Fitted with a tower, an array of JRC electronics, microwave and a full compliment of tackle - SEA BABY 2 has everything needed for a day or extended fishing adventure.
Built for the demanding heavy tackle fishery in Cairns, SEA BABY 2 is the successor of the legendary SEA BABY - the boat aboard which Capt. George Bransford captured the first thousand pound marlin from Cairns. Continuing the reputation, SEA BABY 2 has captured (tagged and released) many 'granders' including one of the largest fish ever taken at Cairns - a 1347 pound black marlin.
For the last 4 years, SEA BABY 2 has been operating as Saltwater Charters private/corporate game fishing charter vessel, fishing waters from the Gold Coast to Hervey Bay in search of marlin, sailfish and other game species. Captains Matt and Allan Thomson are providing great fishing for their clients with some recent epic battles with large ocean fish. Fishing for line class Australian / world records - a team challenge, takes SEA BABY 2 and her crew/clients on thrill seeking fishing adventures to remote destination, in search of that once-in-a-lifetime challenge.


Saltwater Charters promotes tag and release of all billfish species (unless a potential record).
